Q3 was about putting retail purchase data to work where your marketing actually runs. You can now send retailer and marketplace purchases to Meta as conversions with Subtotal Signal, launch Klaviyo flows built on retail purchases in a few clicks, and see which campaigns drive linked accounts. We also opened Subtotal up to partner apps, launched new plans (including a self-serve Starter plan), and added new analytics to the Dashboard. Here's a look at what shipped.
Subtotal Signal, Starting with Meta
Subtotal Signal is a new product that sends retailer and marketplace purchases, plus account-linked events, to your ad platforms as conversions. Meta is the first destination, through its Conversions API, with per-event settings, retailer conditions, and shopper opt-out handling built in.
Your ads get credit for in-store, retailer, and marketplace sales, not just DTC.

A Revamped Klaviyo Integration
The Klaviyo integration now comes with prebuilt segments and Klaviyo-approved flow templates. You also control which individual events are on, can build custom events, and can set purchase date windows.
You'll spend less time wiring up events and more time running flows based on what your shoppers actually buy at retail.
Campaign Tracking with Connection Tags
Tag connections with a campaign, source, and medium, either in the Subtotal Connect Shopify app or directly on the link URL. The Dashboard then breaks down connections, purchases, and analytics by campaign, showing which campaigns and placements actually drive linked accounts and purchases.

Partner Apps
Loyalty, review, engagement, and analytics platforms can now build apps that brands install to securely connect their Subtotal data. Partners get a developer dashboard, a review and approval flow, and webhooks.
More of the tools you already use can work with your retail purchase data, and all it takes on your end is an install.
New Plans: Starter, Pro, and Enterprise
We've introduced three plans: Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. Starter is self-serve, so you can sign up and get going on your own.

New Metrics and Analytics in the Dashboard
New Metrics and Analytics tabs track active connections, brand purchase rate, brand order value, AOV, and basket share. We also added a Products catalog and Product Groups.
A Shopper Portal at my.subtotal.com
Shoppers now have their own portal, my.subtotal.com, where they can see and manage the retailer accounts they've linked.
More transparency and control for your customers builds the trust that keeps them connected.
Retailer Controls
Brands have more say over which retailers appear in Link. Turn retailers on or off from the Dashboard, the API, or the Subtotal MCP server (which lets you work with Subtotal from AI tools). The MCP server also picked up new tools for retailers and individual purchases.
One-Click Smile.io Install
Smile.io now installs with one-click OAuth. See the Smile.io setup guide →
Owner and Admin Roles
Teams can assign Owner and Admin roles in the Dashboard to control who manages what.
Link Tokens
A new API lets you create expiring, trackable Link URLs, so you can share Link in more places and know where each connection came from. Read the Link tokens docs →
This is only a snapshot of what we shipped in Q3. You'll also find a long list of smaller improvements across the platform, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, and developer tooling. We'll be back with more updates as Q4 progresses. In the meantime, if you have questions about anything above or want to get started, book a demo with our sales team or sign up.
